These principles sparked the idea behind Psychology Direct when it was founded in 2008, and then Psychiatry Direct followed shortly after due to client demand. The concept bought together the skills and experience of a Mental Health Clinician, with a partner with an accomplished track record in managing a wide variety of successful businesses. This successful partnership has made a considerable impact on the provision of, and access to Psychiatrists for organisations needing specialist testimony, reports, medical diagnosis, treatment and recommendations, quickly and cost effectively.

In launching Psychiatry Direct, the founders saw a way to deliver vital Mental Health services when and where they were needed, with speed, efficiency, support and humanity at the heart of the process. By making quality standards the key priority, Psychiatry Direct grew very quickly, largely through repeat business and word of mouth referrals. Clients were saving time and money, and experiencing a professional, empathetic and supportive service.

As the business grew, so did the community of Psychiatrists wanting to register with Psychiatry Direct. Now with an impressively strong register of qualified, GMC registered Psychiatrists, Psychiatry Direct has earnt respect as a leader in the field, supplying dedicated professionals across a wide variety of cases and areas.

The Psychiatry Direct team continues to grow too, with skilled Client Managers liaising with clients and Psychiatrists; matching skills, managing administration and offering personal and professional support.
